Christmas Crafts
During the Christmas holidays, students are often kept engaged in interesting Christmas crafts or gifted a day-out with Mr. Santa and Mrs. Claus. It's also quite common to arrange for a Christmas shopping for the kids, where they can buy little tokens or inexpensive Christmas gifts for their mom, dad, gramps, bro, sis or friends. That gives them a real grown-up feeling and you'd love to see those little creatures rejoice in the Christmas shopping spree. Magic shows and talent hunts are also held during Christmas to keep the kids on the high end of thrill. Children even go out caroling in groups from door to door on Christmas. So much for the activities of children during Christmas; now if you want some Christmas craft ideas for the children, here are some:
o Christmas wreaths are always great ideas for Christmas crafts. Best visual for this would be a wreath made of the special Poinsettias of the season. Red and white poinsettias would just swell at the doorway, won't they ? You can even have the wreath punctuated with green leaves.

Christmas Crafts For Kids
Some of the most fun and endearing holiday crafts include handprints, photos of your child, and other simple reminders of how fast they grow. This years handprint picture will be a real treasure in 10 or 20 years as you try to remember how small those now grown up hands once were. A simple and creative way to showcase pictures is to create ornaments with photos from the previous year. Each year your tree will include more and more of those happy memories and will become a scrapbook of the good times in your child's life. These ornaments can be as simple as plastic lid recycled from the kitchen with a circular picture pasted inside. If you want to be more elaborate, you can use scrapbook paper and small wooden picture frames to create pretty little ornaments.

The Christmas Placemat
Glue the Christmas images on a sheet of colored construction paper. You can also write the child's name in bright colours or glitter glue, or add a photo of them to the scrap picture collage, so that they can easily tell which mat belongs to them at mealtimes when they set the dinner table.
Once the glue dries, cover the front of the craft and the back using rolls of sticky clear plastic contact. You can also just slide the picture placemat inside a plastic sleeve used in office clip folders. Then just sticky tape closed the open end of the plastic sleeve, to enclose it securely. This will make them waterproof and easy to wipe down after each meal.

Fun Snowflake Craft Ideas and Instructions
Snowflakes are always six sided. So, to make paper snowflakes you need to fold the paper for a finished design with 6 symmetrical extensions. First, fold a piece of paper starting with the top right corner making sure that the top edge of the paper and the right side are lined up. Cut away the paper that is not in the folded area. Bring the two points on the folded side together and mark the center. From the unfolded point, measure 3 and 1/8" along either side and make a mark. Draw two lines from the center mark on the fold to each of the marks on the unfolded side and fold along each line. It seems complicated for just a paper snowflake but once you see how it's done you'll find that it's easy to just fold without measuring.
Valentine's Day Crafts
Crafts for Valentine's Day also include special wall hangings. The main features of these wall hangings are heart-shaped paper designs and images of cupid with a bow and arrow. These wall hangings could also incorporate some special personalized messages. Another creative craft item for the day is a Valentine's Day address book. A simple address book can be enwrapped in a decorated piece of fabric cloth. The edges of this could be stitched, and a red ribbon with a few heart-shaped trinkets can be tied around it. This gives the address book a perfect Valentine's Day touch to it.

Christmas Card Ideas Will Soon Be Flowing
Use your pen and paper to jot down all these ideas that you get, and make sure that you add as much detail as possible into your brainstorming notes. This will make it easier for you to picture the image again. For example 'down at the river' will not be enough of a note for you to picture the winter scene, you would have to add more descriptions on what you had seen in this image.
